Larry Moore II, a fourth-generation funeral professional, leads as the owner and manager of Moore Funeral Home. He transitioned from a 20-year tenure as an IT professional to pursue his true passion of serving others. In 2018, he embraced his calling and took over the operations of the family funeral home from his father, the late Larry Moore.

He earned his Funeral Service Degree from Jefferson State Community College and is licensed as a funeral director and embalmer in both Georgia and Alabama.

What Larry enjoys the most about being a funeral director is the opportunity to make a positive impact on people's lives during one of the most challenging times in their lives.

During his leisure time, Larry enjoys golf, running, working out, and spending quality time with his fiancée, Janet, and their dog, Boone.

Mary Moore, widow of Larry Moore, works part-time as an Administrative Assistant. She resides in the New Salem community and is the mother of Misty Morris, Larry Moore II & Wendy Kernea.

In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her grandchildren Gavin, Olivia, Trey, Meghan and Catilyn. She is a member of Trenton First Baptist Church.

Craig is a native of Walker County, Georgia and graduated from LaFayette High School Class of 1996 and currently resides in the Rock Spring community. Craig served for many years as a Firefighter/EMT with Walker County as well as an Emergency Medical Technician with EMS agencies in Walker, Chattooga, and Catoosa counties. Craig is the proud father of his son, Joel, and enjoys spending time together as much as possible. He is a member of Crawfish Springs Lodge #300 F&AM of Chickamauga.

In 2016, Craig graduated from Jefferson State Community College in Birmingham, Alabama with his Associate of Applied Science Degree in Funeral Service Education. Craig is a licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer in Georgia and Tennessee. Additionally, he is a Certified Crematory Operator with the National Funeral Directors Association. Through the funeral service, Craig considers it an honor to serve families during their time of loss and cares for them as though they were his own.

In his spare time, he enjoys playing guitar and talking around the world through Amateur Radio.

Patrick grew up on Sand Mountain in the Bryant community and graduated from North Sand Mountain High School in 2007. He later attended the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, where he dedicated his life and career to compassionate service to others. He graduated in 2018 with his Bachelor’s degree in Political Science & Public Service.

In 2023, Patrick graduated from John A. Gupton College in Nashville, Tennessee where he earned his Associate of Applied Science in Funeral Service degree. He is a certified crematory operator and currently serves as a funeral director and embalmer apprentice in the state of Georgia. He looks forward to serving the communities that were so instrumental in his upbringing.

His hobbies include antiques and thrifting and enjoys the outdoors, where he can be found biking or gardening.

Brad is a native of Pasadena, Texas and he has lived in the Bryant, Alabama community since 2005. Brad has been bi-vocational most of his life, spending 24 years as a machinist while also serving as a pastor in Blount, Perry, Chilton, and Jackson counties of Alabama. He is an ordained Bishop within the Church of God with 37 years in the ministry; he and his wife, Sherry, presently serve as senior pastors of the Mountain View Church of God and Christian Academy in Bryant. Brad has 3 sons, one grandson, and a granddaughter. He is an avid deer hunter and fisherman and loves woodworking, the outdoors, hiking, and kayaking. Brad enjoys spending time with his family, loving on his grandchildren, going on mission trips, and has a great passion for worship time at church.

Brad began serving in funeral service in 1989 and has since received diplomas from Jefferson State Community College for Funeral Service with Distinction and Funeral Service Education. Additionally, he is a Certified Crematory Operator and holds licensure of Funeral Director with the state of Alabama.

What Brad enjoys most about funeral service is being able to help families through their most difficult time while offering service, encouragement, and comfort.

Naomi has worked for our funeral home since, 1996. She plays an active role for both chapels working visitations and funerals.

Naomi loves to garden and work in her yard. She has two sons, Billy and Mike. Naomi loves spoiling her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is a member of Mountain View Church of God.

Evan Stone is a 1982 graduate of Northwest Georgia High School, a 1985 graduate of Walker Technical School and a 1992 graduate of Dalton State.

He resides in Trenton, Georgia where he owns and operates Dade County Broadcasting. He is the proud dad to Tabitha, Evan Jr.. He has four grandchildren Christian, Preston, Quinton and Waylon.

Evan is a the current chairman of the Dade County IDA and vice chairman of the Northwest Georgia Joint Development Authority. He's a former board member of the Hospital Authority of Dade, Walker and Catoosa County.

His hobbies include Atlanta Braves, Georgia Bulldogs, music, collecting old radios and radio history.

Larry Gene Moore, a well-known and respected citizen of New Salem, passed away on October 22, 2022. He was 73 years old. Larry had been battling Parkinson's disease for some time.

Larry was admired and cherished as a devoted husband and father, a proud grandfather, and a kind friend to all who knew him. He radiated compassion towards others throughout his life, touched thousands throughout the community with his contagious kindness. His professional life was marked by kindness, integrity, compassion and devotion to his calling.

Larry served as Sole Commissioner of Dade County from 1980 to 1992. During this period, he helped establish several crucial public projects such as the Dade County Justice Building, Senior Citizen Center, Veterans' Park the Dade County Four Fields which have now been named after him. He served on various boards over the years and was also an active member of the Dade County Optimist Club.

For more than twenty-five years, Larry remained committed to serving his community as the proud owner of Moore Funeral Home. Larry was also an active member of Trenton First Baptist Church for most parts of his life where he lived by faith and worshipped along side those that shared his values.

Larry devoted time to championing youth sports in Dade County for many years. He fondly remembered coaching young teams such as the Redskins little league baseball team. Larry loved antique cars and enjoyed traveling to car shows seeking unique treasures.

Although his presence is greatly missed, his legacy continues to live on at Moore Funeral Home.
